On Tuesday, February 3rd, we had our February PTO meeting, attending more than 70 parents. The musical Program opened with a really wonderful performance of the Mariachi of Gadsden. We celebrated our Teacher of the Year Nominees with a bouquet, a certificate and mariachi music. Congratulations Teachers.
We had 4th grade presenting, Ms. Smith and Mr. Felix, each class sang. We awarded our Accelerated Readers with a certificate and a book. Mr. Arroyo gave school information and we had many raffles.
Parents, teachers, and students want to express our appreciation for the members of the Mariachi. We recognize the work that Mr. Neblina and Mr. Villegas have done teaching the students, and making real musician out of them. We want to thank you Parents. We know of your hard work, your tiredness and the cold weather, but your presence here at school is a motivation to your child. Your children need to know that you are here to support them.
RIF– our 2nd distribution was on Jan 28th. Each student was allowed to choose 1 book to take home and keep for their personal library. Our activity that went along with it was outdoor reading. The students went out to the reading garden and enjoyed their new books.
We will be having a fundraiser to collect monies for St. Judes part 1 this month and part 2 next month
We continue to collect soda tabs, all proceeds go to Ronald McDonald House.
The Students who receive morning detention and do not come on time or who do not show up will have to make up the detention after school on Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday from 2:30-4:00pm.
